My beautiful region Abruzzo, has several facets that characterize it, and one of them is its climate.
In fact, Abruzzo has a varied climate due to its location in central Italy and its proximity to both the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains.
Generally, the region experiences hot summers and cold winters, with mild temperatures in the spring and fall, with a moderate amount of rainfall throughout the year.
In particular, the coastal areas of Abruzzo, including Vasto, my hometown and our base for many our tours, have hot summers and mild winters, with a high level of humidity.
Fox example, the average temperature in Vasto in the summer months of July and August is around 27°C (81°F), while in winter is around 8°C (46°F).
On the other hand, Sulmona our other start location for our tours, located inland, has a cooler climate, with hot summers and cold winters.
Specifically, the average temperature in Sulmona in the summer months of July and August is around 26°C (79°F), while in winter is around 4°C (39°F).
Table summarizes better, the average temperature trends, during the year, in Vasto and Sulmona:
The beauty of the region is unparalleled and can be visited throughout the year, catching every nuance that sets it apart.
