Welcome to Italia Sweet Italia, where your journey begins with me, Fabrizio!
I founded Italia Sweet Italia with a simple dream: to share the real essence of this beautiful country. It’s an essence you can’t find in guidebooks—one that’s found in the stories of the people who call this land home. But I couldn’t do it alone. It’s thanks to a dedicated family of passionate friends, local producers, fishermen, artists, expert guides and my family members that we’re able to offer these unique, immersive experiences. These are the people who are the true heart and soul of Italia Sweet Italia.
Our story, and the story of our team, begins in Abruzzo. This is our home, the place where everything started. Here, you’ll meet the core of our team—the passionate custodians of ancient traditions. They are the keepers of Abruzzo’s secrets and its warm, welcoming spirit. They will greet you like a long-lost friend and share the stories of their land with a passion that is truly contagious.
As our family has grown, so has our reach. We have carefully selected a network of equally passionate local representatives in other incredible regions of Italy. These are not just employees; they are fellow storytellers and experts in their own right, from the sun-drenched coasts of Puglia, the ancient heart of Sicily, the rolling hills of Le Marche, to the breathtaking Riviera of Liguria. They embody the same commitment to authenticity and personal connection that defines us in Abruzzo.
Together, we are a mosaic of regional experts, united by a single purpose: to guide you on a journey that feels less like a tour and more like an invitation into our home. Each member of our team is dedicated to helping you discover the real Italy, one story, one meal, and one unforgettable memory at a time.
Ciao for now, Fabrizio
FABRIZIO, TOUR GUIDE AND ITALIA SWEET ITALIA FOUNDER
My story, and the story of Italia Sweet Italia, is deeply rooted in Abruzzo. It all started in my teenage years, bustling through summer shifts as a barman and waiter in my beloved hometown of Vasto. That early connection with visitors and my region ignited a lifelong passion, propelling me to study Tourism Economics, including an enriching period as an Erasmus student in the UK. My professional path then led me to exciting roles as a consultant, researcher, and teacher in tourism, working in dynamic cities like Bologna, Milan, and Barcelona.
Despite the broader horizons, the pull of Abruzzo remained irresistible. I chose to return, driven by a desire to live and work in the place that truly has my heart. My aim was, and still is, to develop sustainable, authentic experiences that showcase every facet of this remarkable region: its diverse landscapes, its welcoming spirit, its deep-seated culture, timeless traditions, and, of course, its unforgettable cuisine.
You’ll quickly learn I have a soft spot for arrosticini, the comforting pallotte cac’ e ov’, and the rich brodetto alla vastese. And when I’m not working, there’s nothing I love more than cycling through the breathtaking Punta Aderci Nature Reserve. Want to know more about how this passion project became Italia Sweet Italia?
