Since we started our adventure with Italia Sweet Italia we have always shared our passion for Abruzzo and tried to instill it in our guests. That is why one of the things we valued the most is their opinion about the trip. We love to think they will go back to their hometown with a piece of our region: not only postcards, magnets or books, but an experience they will remember (and maybe make them come back!).
We decided to collect some of them to make everyone live what they saw and felt through their own words.
This history starts from a desire to experience a vacation together with her family, because Rosemary, living in Australia, wanted to create in the region of her ancestors, new memories together.
She visited Abruzzo in 2018, to enjoy an experience with Italia Sweet Italia, such as our Family reunions and Multigenerational trips.

Family roots.

All my family and my nephew and his wife.
When did you visit Abruzzo?
June 2018.
What specific activities did you enjoy most on your trip?
The whole trip was amazing.
Catering for a group ranging from 70 years old to 3 years old is a logistic nightmare.
How would you define the Abruzzese cuisine? What is your favorite dish you tasted or prepared over there?
It’s all amazing.
What is the funniest moment of your vacation?
The fact that every minute and every activity was organised and therefore there was no time for family disagreement.
Is there a favorite image or memory that stays in your mind? Can you describe the moment and the emotions that you felt at the time?
The Trabocchi, Ettore and Barbara’s farm visit, the hike to the Eremo, the kayaking……it was all great.
Did you feel safe all the time?
Extremely.
Do you think there is anything that should be improved or changed?
Is it still as good!
Would you recommend coming to Abruzzo and do you have any advice for future travelers?
Of course.

I am not sure whether the fact that we are a little bit Italian makes a difference, but 12 out of 17 couldn’t speak Italian.
