Vasto (population: over 40.000), is a hilltop ancient Roman town overlooking the Adriatic sea in Abruzzo, just 3 hours from Rome. It is the starting point of most of our tours for many reasons, that span from knowing it very well to being aware of the emotions it can instill in everyone that stops by.
You will enjoy exploring the centro storico, its cathedrals and churches, the 15th Century Palazzo d’Avalos with museums and art galleries, the Roman baths archaeological site, the Rossetti Theater, the cafes, restaurants, the food, wine and gelato, vineyards, cheese factories and olive oil mills, as well as the many natural sites: a selection of some of the best Italian beaches and European blue flags, from sandy shores to pebbly coves, from the populous marina to the natural reserves, from dunes to trabocchi, the unique fishing huts you will marvel at, all within a short distance.
Vasto is a perfect base for cooking, painting, Italian language and pottery holidays in Abruzzo.
